Colorbash is a variation in spelling of the word calabash – an African gourd also used as bottle, utensil, or pipe. I only used it here symbolically to evoke Africa. Plus, I like the way it sounds like a genre of music (oh, wait it is…plus calabash is used to make many instruments) or some African dance or something …Umm…you get the idea. I use this blog as an opportunity to look at the world through African eyes.
I like the word calabash and I love color so = colorbash
I’m a 30 something African professional woman living in the Washington DC metro area with my lovely husband. This blog is about things that capture my interest on a day to day basis from fashion to politics. I especially love it when those two mix !
